Published Works in International Languages

The latest publications of the Skagafjörður Heritage Museum are the children's books A Summer Day at Glaumbær and A Winter Day at Glaumbær, historical fiction for children and adults alike. It sheds light on the life and wor of Icelandic children in the second half of the 19th century. In these stories we follow a young boy, his friend, and the family dog, on a day in their lives. The story is set at Glaumbær, a vicarage in Skagafjörður.

The books came out in the fall of 2021 and 2023 and were published in Icelandic, English, French and German.
