The most resent publishing from the Skagafjörður Heritage Museum is A Summer Day at Glaumbær is a historical fiction for children and adults alike. It sheds light on the life and farm work of Icelandic children in the second half of the 19th century. In this story, we follow a young boy, his friend, and the family dog throughout a day in their lives. The story is set at Glaumbær, a vicarage in Skagafjörður.
The book came out in the fall of 2021 and was published in Icelandic, English, French and German.
