Tickets for the museum can be bought in the ticket office by the entrance of the museum area during the high season. Please book groups with at least one day in advance by sending an e-mail or calling +354 453 6173.

Áshús Café
The museum café, Áshús is open to museum guests at 10:00-17:00 o'clock every day from May 20th until August 31st and 10:00-16:00 o'clock from 1st to 20th September. From September 21st to October 20th the café is open from 10:00 to 16:00 o'clock weekdays, closed on weekends. The café is open by request during the off-season, it is necessary to book at least 2 days in advance.

Visitor guidelines
- Backpacks are not allowed in the museum.
- It is allowed to take photographs - without flash.
- Permission is needed for drones.
- Please note that unfortunately there is no wheelchair access inside the turf farm, but you can request to drive up to the turf house to view it from the outside. The café however is accessible for wheelchairs through the back door, please contact the staff so that they can open the door and install a temporary wheelchair ramp.
